Therapy in PBH

How Therapy Can Improve Daily Life

Medications such as antidepressants and mood stabilizers can help regulate the chemicals in your brain, providing some relief from your symptoms. However, medication alone usually isn’t the answer to address mental health concerns.

In the meantime, therapy is about more than simply reducing symptoms. It can help you better understand factors and patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety, low mood, or relationship difficulties. They also develop practical skills to manage symptoms, cope with challenges, communicate more effectively, and make choices that align with their values and goals.

Because every person’s experience is unique, therapy is tailored to your individual needs and progresses at a pace that feels comfortable. The goal is not only to feel better in the moment, but also to build lasting skills that support greater confidence, resilience, and emotional wellness over time.

* PHB does not provide medication management or medication-assisted treatment; however, we collaborate with trusted local psychiatrists and can provide referrals when medication evaluation or additional support may be appropriate.

Personalized Support for Lasting Progress

Treatment should reflect your individual needs rather than follow a one-size-fits-all approach. At

Paramount Behavioral Health, every treatment plan is developed based on your circumstances

and personal goals. Our licensed clinicians provide proven therapeutic approaches designed to support meaningful change. If you are struggling with your mental health issues, our team is here to help you explore treatment options and find an approach that feels right for you. We provide personalized support and guidance throughout your therapy journey.

Our Service

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety is more than a feeling of worry or fear—it can affect both your mind and body. You may experience racing thoughts, a rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, muscle tension, stomach discomfort, difficulty sleeping, or a persistent sense of being on edge. In therapy, we look at how your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors interact, helping you better understand your anxiety and develop practical strategies to manage it with greater confidence.

Depression Therapy

Depression can make it difficult to enjoy life and engage in activities you once loved. Our therapists are here to help you overcome depression and develop a more positive outlook on life. We offer evidence-based treatments that have been proven to be effective for depression.

Trauma Counseling

Trauma is not defined only by the size or severity of an event, but by the impact it has on you. Even experiences that may seem “not traumatic enough” can have lasting effects on your mental health, sense of self, emotional well-being, and relationships. Trauma can also be an underlying factor in concerns such as anxiety, depression, difficulty trusting others, low self-worth, or patterns that feel difficult to change. In therapy, we help you understand how past experiences may be shaping your present life and work toward healing in a safe, supportive, and individualized way.

Addiction Counseling

Addiction is more than a struggle with willpower—it can affect your brain, emotions, relationships, and everyday life, often becoming a cycle that is difficult to break on your own. Substance use or other addictive behaviors may also be connected to underlying concerns such as stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, or difficulty coping with emotions. In addiction counseling, we work to understand the patterns and needs underlying the addiction, develop healthier ways of coping, and support you in making meaningful, sustainable changes toward recovery and a more fulfilling life.

Relationship Counseling

Relationships are an important part of our lives, but they can also be challenging. We are here to help you navigate relationship concerns, improve communication, build intimacy, and strengthen your relationships.

Currently, we offer individual counseling to address relationship concerns. Individual counseling provides a supportive space to explore unhealthy communication and relationship patterns, develop healthier ways of relating, and work toward breaking unhelpful cycles.

When couples counseling or marriage therapy is more appropriate, we can also provide referrals to qualified marriage and couples therapists in the area.

Stress Management

Stress is a natural part of life, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can have a negative impact on our mental and physical health. Our stress management services are designed to help you learn practical strategies to manage stress and improve your overall well-being.
